Does anyone know if Eduard (or anyone else like Royal or Airwaves) made a detail set, PE or other type of aftermarket for the original Tamiya M1 kit (the 105mm gunned kit).

I'm fairly up on all the current M1A1/A2 PE sets, engine compartments and resin updates and know which ones can be used to help the original M1, but was wondering if anyone else remembers seeing an old set made especially for one of the first edition M1 Abrams kits.

I am told Verlinden had an ammo set for the M1 but have yet to find it. Besides Verlinden, legends, and Eduard I do not even know of any companies who make AM for the Abrams and haven't ever seen a thing for the M1. Who else makes stuff for it?

Yeah, Verlinden did a NATO 105mm tank ammo set. I think I've got one kicking around somewhere, hard to see real quick in those little green boxes. I also have several of those Tamiya Modern US Accessories Set that have the 105mm rounds, tootsie rolls, ammo crates, track blocks and roadwheels.

Rob;

That Tamiya accessory kit you are referring had two parts sprues that contained:

I know what's in it. I said I have several of them. I was looking for any M1 aftermarket made specifically for the first M1 kit. I have an old VLS catalog that lists almost all of the early Eduard sets, nothing listed for the M1, but there are some "blanks" in the numbering of Eduard sets.
