ive notcied most members have ranks i was wondering how they worked and some poeple seem to have higher ranks than others
how does it all work?

The ranks are simply a function of post count. The more posts you have, the higher your rank is.
You have to turn them on, you can also change them. Go to the My Account tab at the top of the page, then click on View Profile. About half-way down the page, there is a box to select the type of rank you want to show.
You have a rank showing, next to your flag. No idea what country it represents though.
