Hi all,
I posted on my site a full review of the new kit of the Ariete by Trumpeter. They did a good job on it even fixing some of the flaws of the first kit they issued.
Enjoy the visit (click my banner)

Olivier
From memory (i just had a quick look on my box when i get the kit last year) there're still 2 "errors" on the upgrading kit.
The engine deck grill should had be flat on the engine deck and the bore evacuator of the main gun is in the axe of the gun when it should be unbalanced.
I prefered to pay extras for seperate track links in plastic (like they seems to do for their T62) but the Ariete looks a GREAT kit that i never dreamed before from plactic companies.
Come on Trumpeter !

Hi Stephane,
you're right about the fume extractor, it should be slightly located upwards as compared to what did Trumpeter but looking at the pics in the Auriga book it's merely noticeable.
Concerning the engine air intake grille, it is not leveled with the engine deck, it is slightly raised in reality but Trumpeter molded it too raised.
All in all, they did a very good job as I mentioned it earlier. As you wrote about AM tracks, I would like to see more decals too. Maybe Echelon is reading !!
PS: I added more pictures to the review of which some close-ups.
