Hi there, first post in this forum (scary) and it is about the Tamiya Leclerc OOB in desert camo (no so common - found only one hit on this forum with some pics). I still need to pigment the tracks but here is how it looks like so far :
Advices and remarks appreciated.
If you have some pics of the Qatar Leclerc (model or real), please pass it on.
Many thanks.

Do the french not make any thing sexy? women, food, art, dancing, and military weapons.
Looks good this tank has beautiful lines. For me the only down is the two tone takes away from the lines and would have loved to see it in solid green. But you did very nice job with the kit and already have it placed in a dio setting. Are you planning to add any thing around the tank like a tent setting or figures?

Looks nice. Recommend you paint the "platforms" for the crew half-figures black to make them less visible.

Bienvenue sur Big A Erik
The camo net is a bit coarse, you'd better change the fabric for a thinner one. Maybe you should change the aerials too as they are not straight. Try some piano string or glass fiber.
The brown looks to red to me but maybe this is due to the light conditions when you shot your model.
Anyway, it's a very clean build. It's good to see another Leclerc finished !

Nitro : I have a diorama without figures. I am not into figures so much. I may place a tent with some fuel drums. Not sure though. Will see. The woodland camo looks good too. It is also on my list.
Thomas : I do not plan to add figures; the Tamiya figures do not look too good to my opinion.
Olivier : I will fix the aerials (piano strings indeed would be better). Regarding the painting, I used the recommended Paint (NATO Brown). Since I do not have good pics in my possesion to take a look at the original painting, I sticked to the recommendations. For the camo net, I used medical bandage do you have any other idea on what could be used for that purpose ?
Seb : you may be right about the drums (there is actually still a debat about it reading the net) but since they were provided in the box I figured I could use them. I will post more pics when I am done with it.
Thanks each of you for your great comments.

hey,
Nice tank, I built one myself but messed up the suspentions. I kinda rushed the painting too. That will teach me to rush models.
