Once again hello to all. This is my second Thread and I would like to share this build with you all. Here is the link to my first thread
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/107531&page=1
This a Trumpeter Kit with Eduard, Lion Roar Photo Etch and some extra items from other kits. I have been putting it together off and on for about 3 weeks. I had messed up the rear rack and tired to scratch build the rack. I think I did ok? Enjoy and all feedback is welcome!

Why the spot painting?

You're off to a nice start. Stowage will probably hide the rack anyway.
I don't want to answer for Yufkey, but I do this a lot, especially with aircraft, where you won't be able to install glass later on. You spot paint, add glass, do the build, and paint the rest after. That's my guess.

It was scratch built. I mess up the one that came with it. So I tried to redo it myself.

Here are some pictures of my LAV. I used Tamiya Fat Black and Hull red for preshading. Then I went back over with Testors Model Masters Sand.
I let the Model dry for 48 hours. Then I applied Tamiya Desert Yellow thinned.
.
I will let this dry for another 24 hours then come back with Tamiya Buff and Dark Yellow to add high lights

I like it! I'm sure a few will chime in but I really do think it looks great! The wheels, are they resin? They look terrific, the tread stands out, and the dirt and chipping do it well.

First time I see a guy that glue the bags directly to the vehicle and paint it afterward.
This is insane.
Great build
Congrats

The LAV looks great. Good job on the weathering. Tamiya screwed you on the painting of the gear though. Their colors are way off. You may want to change the color of the e-tool case on the rucksacks. It should be more of an OD Green color, not pale green. It is too bright. The sleeping mats rolled on top of the rucksacks should be medium green. The straps on the rucksacks should be the same color as the ruck. The gear all looks shiney too. Maybe hit it with another shot of dullcoat.
E-tool carrier:
Sleeping mat:
Rucksack w/straps:
Other than that, it looks great.
