I have begun to modify the WC 51 into the M 37 3/4 ton truck. So far I have modified the hood, fenders and made the doors. I used the seats out of the M 35 2 1/2 ton and cut them down to fit. Adjusted the front grill and added the light section from plastic stock. The running boards and cargo bed are made from plastic stock as well.

Thanks all. I forgot to mention that the cab is made from the cut down M 35 cab.

Dave, you rock! Thank you for doing this build-log-style, the contrast between the kit color and the sheet stock-white makes the process a learning experience presented by a long-time and oft-admired builder. Right on, brotha.

Do you have a piccy of the real thing? I read the other thread, but, haven't since I posted there, you may have shown one after I posted.

Good to see ya gluing and cutting.

Hi Dave,
Outstanding work. Your kitbashing / scratchbuilding seems seamless.
Question - how did you scratch the rounded curved lip of the rear fenders?

I use small round stock and sand to shape.

I am guessing the donor kit I am using is the ARV Club WC 51 kit.

Here are some more update pics. I got the window armor and gun box installed. I narrowed the M 35 soft top to fit the M 37 as well.
