Here are some more:
Nice model of M4A2 King Kong on Saipan:

http://www.npswapa.org/gallery/album36/sn3167_kingkongtnkThe water tank itself was a spare fuel tank from an M3A1. The Academy M3A1 kit includes a pair, though they would need some modification. The straps are molded on and there is no indentation and cap on the side. I read somewhere these tanks are slightly too small, but I cannot find the source of that comment.

Lee,
find yourself a copy of "Iwo Jima tank battles" put out by squadron signal, with Dave Harper is the author. IT is worth every dime! Loads of pics, awesome color profiles, after action reports, just awesome book for any USMC sherman fan.

Osprey's "Modelling the Sherman Tank" has a section on Iwo Shermans including scratch building the water tank.
