Hi,
This is obvious really, when you think about it but I DIDNT!!!!!!!!
If you use bi carb of soda to make snow on your dio do yourself a favour and keep it away from bright light and heat or it will start to dissolve and disappear.
Just my luck, i wait all year for some decent weather and when it comes it starts to ruin my dio!!!!!

Did you "seal" anyhow the bicarbinate of soda? Usually if you do not allow it to interact with external agents it doesn't change color or melts...

Yes,
i sealed it with copious amounts of hairspray, the dio's not ruined, its something that can be fixed with a little more craft spray, baking soda and a crate of hair spray!!!!!!

I don't have experience with hairspray... can it be the problem? I don't think it's designed to last forever so color stability shouldn't be an issue...
