This is my homage to Marcus Nicholls T55 in Tamiya model mag.
Hope you like it. I built it totally oob. Just removed the track guard.

Super work! The weathering is very realistic. Can you tell us a bit more, about the kit, which techniques used and stuff like that?

Hei Jim!
Nice work there! I haven't see Nicholls T55, but have you seen Chris Wauchops T-55? Which I think was also inspired by the Tamiya Mag. He added a PE set . It upgraded the boxes, oil drum holders and other little stuff, which I think it gives the T-55 a very, very decent look. But anyway, very nice work on painting and weathering!
What colors did you use?
Looking forward to see your next work, keep it up!
Regards from Switzerland...

Cheers for positive comments.
This is my first post so sorry for initial lack of info.
The kit is tamiya's T55. I painted it with tamiya acrylics through an airbrush, field grey and desert yellow lightened with white. Then post shaded around details with very thin red brown through airbrush. This meant no need for a wash with oil paint, just a couple of light filters of heavily thinned earthy oil paint.
Running gear and lower surfaces treated to a mix of mig pigment europe dust and beach sand. Same mix was slurried onto tracks after painting red brown and high points picked out in silver.
Aux' fuel tanks and exhaust shroud painted brown and then a mix of mig pigments rust( three different types) with a little black smoke.
Chips were done with vallejo model color paint.
That covers most things. I really enjoyed doing this T55.
Thanks again.

Jim Terrific work. The paint job and the weathering are outstanding but..... please get a sheet of blue paper or fabric put the model on it and take some more photos. believe me it will really show your model at its best.

Hey there A.W.
I havent seen chris's T55. I would love to do another super detailed T55. I have always loved painting and weathering more than the building. However this T55 was more of a technical exercise( me, technical, lol) in a few techniques I found in marcus nicholls article.
Hey there Pat.
I will definately use the blue backgound in future pictures.
Thanks again for kind comments.

I love the build. It looks great, I love the weathering on it. I think the paint chips are outstanding.

Looks really nice. Good job on the paint and weathering. One thing though, the left side tracks are on backwards. Other than that, it looks great.

Thanks again to all.
I see you spotted my deliberate mistake Gino! No prize though!
Seriously, I can't believe I missed that. Will be correcting immediately.
Thanks again, Jim.

I tell you I would not want to be on the other side when Eagle eye Gino has a Rifle in his hand.
Good one.
Well a nice build only thing I really think might be heavy handed is the two rear tanks.
Both seem too even in Rust color.
But just my opinion.
It is a great build ,great weathering and chipping.
Sweet job.
Plus welcome abroad.
