Hi all

while searching for something else i came across this company who produce quite realistic palm trees

hart of the south

although quite expensive, there palm trees do look quite good, has any body seen these up close or has used the company before I would be intrested in your opinions on the quality

Yes those are very good representations. The blades on the fronds are very sharp and fine, something which is difficult to replicate if you choose to make your own.

It is also good to see some variations other than the standard coconut palm, as different palm species are needed for an authentic tropical diorama.

I was actually quite alarmed at how cheap these kits are! Compared to P.E or lazer-cut paper palms, these are very well priced.

It look like you can also buy the fronds separately as well, so they may well be ideal for the old Custom dioramics or verlinden palm trunks.

here is the diorama with them being used, they do actually look quite good.
