Hi,
I just wondered I have the tamiya fieldgrey colour but one way or another it does not seems to have the effect I want even after shading and drybrushing. Should I mix the tamiya fieldgrey paint with another colour. Any tips are more then welcome.

What exactly is the effect you want to reach???
If your problem is that the fieldgrey turns out to be green then that`s right as that is what Fieldgrey actually is. Fieldgrey is a Green/greyish sort of color. Why is it called grey then. I believe that came from before WW2 when they had uniforms that were grey in color (fieldgrey that is) It was the standard uniformcolor then Then at one point they got new uniforms and they had another color (green that is) and for some reason they kept the name Fieldgrey for the green
I have read it somewhere and I don`t remeber the dates when all this happened maybe somebody could do more explanation to this

To get the won look of the clothes there are several ways to achieve that..
You could do a wash with a dark color and let it go through the deeper parts of the uniform such as folds. When that is dried you drybrush the higher parts of the uniform with a lighter tone of the base color that should do the trick quite well

Invictis,
I'm interesting in seeing your results, as I'm working through the same issues myself. I finally got something resembling a result when drybrushing with lighter grey over feldgrau. I just got some oil paints that work really well for doing washes, now I just have to combine the two and figure out how to paint a face correctly.
