I realize I haven't posted much lately, new hours at work, and new work load has certainly cut into my hobby time. What was once something to do on the boring midnight shift, has become an hour or two a week, when other commitments have been met. Been working on this on and off for the past few months. It's Kora's conversion for either the Tamyia or Italeri jeep kit. This is the Tamyia kit, with the Trakz photo etched set, and an Eduard rifle holder (which I think is a little over sized)

That. Is. Cool! Can't wait to see it finished and it certainly is an unusual subject matter. Just goes to show how the good old jeep can still be used as a foundation for an extraordinary model. Please keep us updated as this one looks great!

Wow, that is one interesting setup for a jeep. I wonder if those jeeps ever flipped over on there sides! I know from personal experiance that they are light and can flip on the side easily,I've had to right a couple of them in my Marine Corps days.
I can't wait to see this one painted and weathered, please keep us updated on your progress when you can.

Well, not a really exciting update, but I got a few color coats on, and a gloss coat.
Unfortunately it appears my careful shading and highlighting has disappeared with the gloss coat.
Started on the base, I figure the antenna is going to make it easy to knock over, and my cheap ass hollow base, I'd add a little weight to the bottom. Nothing fancy here, just some birdshot and epoxy.

Looks really interesting Dave. Don't worry too much about your highlight and shading - I think they'll come back after you dull the gloss finish back down.
What an interesting Jeep Project you picked!

Wow Dave that's alot of birdshot you've used in the base. It wil definately hold everything in place.I agree with Jim, the flat coat will bring back the original color and highlights.
Looking good so far.
