I’ve recently become enamored with the photos I’ve seen of Sherman’s in the pacific theater sporting various improvised armor schemes made from wood, concrete and corrugated sheet metal etc.

Anyway I’ve seen a ton of “standard” Sherman’s with this improvised armor but not 105’s. Does anyone know if the 105’s that fought at Iwa Jima also received similar modifications?

Thanks and happy holidays to all,

Noah

I have checked several of my Sherman references.

As others have stated here, there is no evidence of modified Sherman 105's.
