Hi everyone
Thought I'd show you a figure I've been working on recenty. This is my first proper attempt at doing an overhaul on an existing figure. The base figure comes from Tamiya's US Modern Army Infantry set (the desert set) and I've tried to convert him into a British Squaddie with a Minimi in Iraq/Afghanistan (dependong on what dio decide to do!!!!) I've used white milliput and aluminium foil and the head came from an Accurate Armour figure (not sure where I got the Minimi, it was in the spares box!) I have turned his right leg by 90 degrees, hence the large amount of putty there!! Anyways, heres some piccies!! Any comments, good or bad, welcome.
Happy Christmas, Nick

Hi Nick, like your progress so far...the upper part looks good and painting lots of detais you add seems interesting...
Just ta little critic, I think the legs are too skinny, maybe adding more milliput will do the deal, also the legs (at least on the second picture you posted) seem very curved to me requiring a little adjustment there to give the feeling he's carrying a minimi and that this one weight quite some few kg, so his stance will be leaning his knees... These are the only flaws I could think of, keep up the good work.
cheers

barrel : http://www.operations.mod.uk/fingal/fimages/minimi_guard.jpg
It shold be easy to fix
