i'm planning on using a trumpeter vehicle in a dio with miniart figs. since the trumpeter figures that came with the vehicle are SO much smaller relative to the miniart guys, might i expect a similar "misfit" look with the finished vehicle?

Not quite sure what you mean. The scale of the vehicle is not related to the sculptor's interpretation of the human figures. A truck comes in one size, human beings in many sizes. As for which figures are more accurate in scale, just get out your ruler--in 1/35th scale, a 5'10" man is exactly two inches tall. You can mix figures of varying heights as long as the heads are relatively similar in size (torsos and limbs vary much more in size than heads). The head should be about one eighth of the total height.

the trumpeter heads are about 2/3 the size of the miniart heads; torsos, limbs. every thing is smaller. height is roughly the same but the miniart figures are much more ...robust, iguess you could say. they look like teens compared to mature adults. hte trumpeter fig are the wrong uniform for my dio plan, so can't be used. the vehicle measures out to scale so i guess it'll be alright.

thanks for responding! happy holidays!

What I would do is get a reference photo of the vehicle that you can measure and do a scale compaison for yourself.
Figures are always subject to a bit more interpreation because humans vary greatly in size. Machines are measurable with known dimentions while humans can run from 5' to 7'.

Hi Ross. Ive built a few MiniArt figures in the last few years, and you definately cannot have them interacting with ordinary figures from Dragon or Tristar (to name 2). I even had to use the kit heads (they are quite good), as hornet, ultrcast, Legends and warrior headsets were just too small for the bulk of the figures. But used on their own, the MiniArt figures are excellent. Its only when you mix brands closly, that the sizes are so apparent.

Below are two MiniArt figures on Tamiya´s Pzr IV D. No problems. Then to the side are 3 Tristar figures with the Tristar Pzr IV D (third image). This works, as they are not too close. Unfortunately I have no images of the figures side-by-side ... then you would see the real difference in bulk/size .. but you have already seen this with your Trumpeter/Miniart example.
