Does anyone know of a company that makes what I call tree guards. I have seen them in movies and in books. They protect the trees from damage and you see them in France on the sidewalks . I am sorry if I can't give a better description.
They look like tall wooden/metal stakes that surrond the trees.
Thanks
Mike

If you mean this thingymejig.
I don't know anyone who makes them but it would be easy to scratch.

Either Aber or Part, (sorry don't remember which one) make the sidewalk grates for around trees, I'm not sure if either do the upright section though.

Greetings,
We make a set of laser cut tree surrounds and storm drains.
We're working on a tree guard and it should be ready early in the new year.
We've accumulated quite a number of reference images and now have to decide on a good compromise of style/size.
Hope this helps.
