Hi All,
I have never seen, nor purchased any Verlinden figures and was wondering since I've heard they run big, could they be used in a 1/32 scale diorama (side project ofa focke wolf 190)? Or would it be too small?

Hi Tony, the VP figures are indeed big but I don't know if they would fit exactly in a 1:32 scale. Compared o some Alpine 1:35 they are just thicker and almost as tall...not helping you much here, but I think you could also look at Andreas's miniatures, they have an extensive catalogue in 1:32 / 54 mm and if my memory is good I can recall some Luftwaffe pilots figurines that would add up perfectly for your build. Maybe Tarok has more info on this.

Well I've looked at some figures in the catalogue and this is all I could find about luftwaffe pilots and crew, my mistake... it's a shame it's not in 1:48 since for this scale they have lots of them...

1/35 and 1/32 are close enough to mix and match in my book. I have mixed 1/32 aircraft, helos, and civilian vehicles with 1/35 military vehicles often. People come in all sizes; tall, short, heavy, thin, etc. The key to making it work is to keep constatn sized items the same scale. For example, use all 1/35 scale weapons or canteens. Since gear comes in one size, this keeps the scene constant.
Good luck.

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the info...I know, I would be golden if it was 1/48...my eyesight isn't the greatest so 1/35 is like the smallest I can do. It sucks cuz every now & then I like to work on aircraft.
oh well
