Hi there,
I saw several pictures of M-800 series 5t truck from OIF, but I wonder if these were used in operation Desert Storm as well???
If so, did the trucks use also the "big foot" wheels (single rear wheel) or the type of wheels with doubled rear wheel???
Are there any pictures available?
Thank you for any reply
Jiri

Yes, M800 series 5-tons were used a lot during ODS ('90-'91). They did not have the "Bigfoot" single rear wheel setup though. M800 series trucks only used the conventional 10-wheel setup.

Oh well, there was at least one. It wasn't common nor standard though, esp. during ODS. If there was one or more out there, you will find a pic of it though.

If you were to say "would I be technically wrong using "big foot" tires for ODS"...No. But what was commonly seen was the standard 10 tire arrangement. So either way you are correct, but it depends what you are trying to show in the finished model.
