need help with washes

I just start to build agin and washes allways gave me trouble. i know i should emaeml paint and thin it out with thinner, so should i just wash a the whole model or just like the details, and should i take the exeart wash off with a cleanpapper towl with thinner on it, thanks for your help

Hi Tazz,
Before you do any washes cover your model with a coat of future floor wax. This does 2 things:
1 It gives a gloss surface that will help the wash run along recessed lines and wick around raised details.
2 It acts as a barrier between the paint and the wash.
Use a fine tipped brush and place the wash in the ecesses and around the base of any raised detail. If you get too much on you may remove it when dry with a q-rip dipped in thinner....MG2
