This is the AVF MGS Stryker kit. For the most it’s out of box with the exception of the MILES system, exhaust deflector and resin smoke grenades.

The MILES is made from Evergreen plastic pieces and masking tape. I installed it so it’s easy to remove once a slat-armor PE set becomes available.

I carved a horn from Evergreen plastic rod and the same for Fire-Jel blanket container.

The exhaust deflector is from Eduard.

Next on the list is to add markings and weathering.

Happy Modeling,
Joe

Nice work. Love the MILES stuff. I am just finishing an MGS and the pictures I have seen to date, I have not seen any with the exhaust deflector.

The straps are great.

Thanks guys, as to make them up...yes they are in the works. Those were my first one and have new and better ones coming out. I’m trying to figure out the decal problem for the Fire-Jel container. The one I used was an old fire safety decal from a race car kit. I used it just to dress up the container. The new container will have a smaller handle and new lid.

Here’s a 5gal. IGLOO cooler, still working on tweaking out the handles.

Other modern nuggets are in the works and hoping to have them out by early Spring.

At least by March on the Fag5 doors Bill. Yeah the yellow shovel is one of my favorites Wayne...I've even seen them bright green, my use that on the next Stryker.

Joe, first off great looking MGS. But one thing I noticed is that I believe the instructions are wrong for the gunners sight cover. Yours is modeled up, however on the actual vehicle the gunners sight cover actually folds down. I have added a picture here, if it does not come up, just right click and open the link.

Very nice MILES. I was hoping we would see some MILES aftermarket stuff one of these days. The other scratch stuff is very cool. Did I miss something Joe? Are you planning on casting and selling some of this?

I concur about the exhaust deflector for the MGS. There is none used, not even on slat MGS'.

Rich, you are a wealth of knowledge on the MGS.....guess I will be fixing my gunners sight also.

Joe - Not sure but do you need decal help for the gel container. If so ring me up.

POP goes the exhaust deflector...bum bum Not much in the way of references on the MGS especially wearing slat armor.

Rob, yes I plan too.

Ric, PM inbound.

Mike, I'll give a PM.

Nice work Joe.

Do you have a site you sell off of or do you just sell piece by piece from here?

Hi Joe,
your homemade "AM parts" are excellent ! They give your already nice MGS an original look. could you send more pics of the MILES gear ?

Looks great. The straps are about the best I've seen. Would you like to share your secret for them?

Cheers,
Sean
