I set up a gallery of some the photos I took on a vacation three years ago to the National Ordinance Museum in Aberdeen. I have other photos to scan and add. I will also be adding descriptions sometime. It is kind of a pain because you have to log in but it is free.
A big thank you to Faust for Beta Testing the set up over in the Junk Drawer. It should be working now. I hope...

Great album. I have a few pics from Aberdeen myself, as well as quite a few from the Patton Museum on Fort Knox.
Incidentally, for those interested, Aberdeen is now open to the public again. It had been on restricted access for a while after Sept. 11th.

Jay,
You are right. Ft Knox is an awful lot closer to me (Indiana) than Aberdeen is. We went before the base was locked down. Both are great places for dedicated tread heads to visit. I am going to go back, and I'll take picture requests. Thanks for looking...

Knox is still restricted as far as I know, the only reason we were able to get on post is because myself and a couple of others in our group had valid military ID cards and I also had a DoD sticker on my car. While I was at Knox, we were able to get into a few places most people don't have access to, so I got some pics of some rather interesting vehicles (including a prototype of the MBT-70 and a M1 Abrams variant with the entire crew placed in the turret and just a gun above the hull).Jay,

I've also got a lot of pictures from Fort Irwin, CA (aka the National Training Center) where they have a threat ID museum with a bunch of captured Iraq vehicles of Russian and Chinese origin (as well as a few odd others). The great thing about that place was that I got to crawl around inside of T-72's, a T-34 and a few other various vehicles. The place was a favortie stop of mine during my rotations to the NTC.
I don't have any web server space for hosting pics, but if anybody has picture requests, I'd be happy to scan some pics for people.

Faust. That is a huge coastal defense artillery piece. I think it was emplaced on the Gulf coast. Yup, that's my brother standing on the gun tube...

Keenan, thanks for providing alternate link. These are some good photos. One of these days I will need to take a trip to Aberdeen.
