I am now amassing a large collection of vehicles used by the Recce Regiments of the British army, and my latest purchase is Accurate Armour's Staghound.Aside from photos in general histories (like Concord's British Armour 44/45) I wondered if any modellers know of half decent reference books? (i've tried google and Jeeves so any pointers would be cool)

Armored Car, A History of American Wheeled Combat Vehicles by R.P. Hunicutt published by Presidio Press. This is a very expensive book that I once came across. Covers just about all (if not all) the armoured cars built or used by the US.

Have a look at the website below (part 1 to 3) some nice stuff about the Staghound there!

Hope this helps!

BTW If you can get it separately Wheels & Tracks Issue 32 covers Staghound Armoured Cars. Found most of this info while looking for info on LAV-25s, know of any decent websites with photos?

Site below is for Wheels & Tracks issues 31 - 35 for £23.49

I've got a few pics of Staghounds in Italian service. If you're interested in those I can arrange to put in place a link for you. Fell free to pm/email me...
Ciao

P.S.: all of the Staghounds in Italian service came from Brithish Army...
