Civil War cannon, WW1 cannon? Specific please. If a muzzle loader it would just be wood with a metal end for a rag.

I wanted to know what material, cleaning rods on German armor are made of. The units that are straped between the tow cabels of Tiger1's & 2's. Wood or metal?

I'm a little confused...but my wife would say that's par for the course!
Here's some Civil War cannon stuff:

Good reenactment pictures.
Black powder cannon were cleaned after firings because of the black powder would build up (from what I've read but I'm no expert)...so these pictures should show separate ramming equipment and cleaning worms.
