Whats up fellas? I know some of you out there have built the E - 25, during the process , did anyone have problems with the final drive housing location? I built mine as per the instructions; with the pins in the correct holes, [it even has a large and small hole for proper placement] but when I went to install the drive sprocket, it barely fit on. It was scraping the bottom of the sponson. Upon further inspection , I definitely determined it was way too high in relation to the center of the roadwheels. Unfortunately, they were glued on yesterday, and are on like tight. The next question is; if I have to replace them, what would be the correct model final drive? If anyone can help it would be great, thanks, Jim Rosado javascript:PasteSmiley('|:(')

The problem was resolved! What I did was carefully shave off the housings and relocate them to where the rearmost point of the bottom of the hull meets the bottom most point of the rear glacis plate. I then aligned the radius of the housing with these points where they meet; therefore basically dropping it down and moving it forward , checking the kit plan profiles as I worked. I also made sure that the semicircular protrusion that houses a gear is parallel to the bottom of hull, pointing to the front of the vehicle. Hopefully no one else will have this problem. Aside from that the kit went together nicely with some patience and shaving of parts here and there.javascript:PasteSmiley('@:)')

There is an issue with the part numbers being reversed (iirc)
I recall reading about it when the kit was released and managed to remember to print out the fix. I used it when building mine.

I take it this is not a problem of the drives being on the wrong sides due to an error in the instructions.

Thanks; Richard and Mike. I am wondering if trumpeter is aware of this problem and if not , how to alert them. In one way , its a pretty simple thing , on the other hand , its major in the sense that it ties in with the track fit and final product. We were lucky enough to catch it in time but wouldnt one think that Trumpeter builders or / designers would catch it and rectify it at some point. I am going to email trumpeter and bring it to their attention. Thanks again for your input, oh btw, my State says Alabama; its actually Moorestown , New Jersey, I dont know how that got mixed up, Jim R.

Hi Darren; no, I checked it out and the parts are identical, I think its an instruction error....... now ya got me thinking, I am gonna check it out again, Just checked, you are right Darren, they are parts c28 and c29 and if you reverse sides they end up approximately where I relocated them to. Thanks, Jim R.
