this is my first serious dio. figs are tamiya, cromwell is tamiya, signs and fence is tamiya and the wheels are tamiya. everything else is scratch, the ground work is the things inside the tea bags, and the others are from mother nature and woodland scenics, here are the photos enjoy

Good first dio, Figures could use alittle toning down, alittle on the bright/shiny side.

yeah they are kinda shiny(i by acidently spilled semi gloss all over the pile )im pretty satisfied with how this came out, but i think you guys can do better. one of the figures was carried off by my cat A.k.a felinus battus modelus aroundus , thats what they call it in the finescale forums.

Hi Calvin, we really need some better pictures (in front of a blue background, in natural light such as under a pergola/veranda, camera on "macro" settings).
From what I can see you have given this a fair crack, for a 1st.
It is great that you are willing to go to "mother nature" for your diorama material, something, for some reason, many modellers are reluctant to do (hey, you can weed the front patio and collect dio material at the same time!).
Good effort with those figures, shame you spilled crap all over them! I recommend that you post pictures on Historicus Forma as you progress, as that's where many of the hobby's finest figure painters hang out.

Looks good from what I can see.
What camera/settings are you using?
Can you spray the figs with clear flat?
The Cromwell looks good, it's a nice little kit, isn't it?
