After my successful depiction of my last commission AAVP7A1 WIP (I say successful because I'm pretty happy I managed to get the scratch right and how the weathering came out) ..so .. I got possessed and forked out around USD$400 and got all of HobbyFan's AAV kits and some Tamiya ones.. Being real excited to build them since of course NO MANUFACTURER was gonna make them nice and with interiors.. And of course couple months down the road a plastic version is released.! Of course Iit's fantastic news and I'm going to buy a few ..but man the timing sucks! Anyway, I figured I'll just go ahead and build the kits I got!
And maybe I'll just tackle that horrible MH kit again!

I'm still finalizing which real vehicals I'll be depicting from the pics I got..but let's see.. I may also try my hand at a full scratch interior, and RAMS upgrades..since I have HF's resin ones..

With all my other commitments .. this is going to be a slow build, but I hope to finish them in mid-year or so..

OH..and I'll most likely do a couple dioramas with figures too...otherwise it'll be a waste ....

x1 MiniHobby kit... Argggghhhh
x4 Tamiya kits : "AAVP7A1 w/ UGWS & LVTP7A1"
I'll have to scratch the ramp for both LVTPs

Goffy & HobbyFan MOLLE
I can surely say I'll need to scratch some more bits like pallets and stuff

Eduard's mesh is "perfect" for the engine grills, as I did on my 1st AAV, I also found that it's the same size as in HF's Recovery kit. I'll have to get 4 sets done!

Aber's net seems closer to the size of the actual net/mesh which cover's the Long muffler used in the upgraded AAVs...HF's etch mesh seems a tad small.

I'll have to check out some more tracks avail as I'm short on some. I'll try to get Fruil tracks at least for 1 beast.

The Hobby Fan kits are really impressive, they have lously marketing though as I couldn't find much reviews (aside from the recovery version) I took a leap by spend so much $$$ and I was not disappointed as they included all the other details like the corrected and detailed hatches and what nots..But I was taken aback that they didn't include any mesh for the engine grills!

AAVR7A1Recovery version

Interior
Heck of a lot of stuff here...looks sweet to duplicate via scratch build!

Nick did you ever get around to starting the build features for Armorama? I look forward to seeing what you do with all that resin as well.

Darren, I really haven't had the time to complete those features.. I have quite a few that I'd like share with armorama, I think by end of this month or Feb I'll be able to submit, hopefully they'll be accepted.

I'm enthusiastic on these AAVs..not keen on having to keep my nose away from super glue!

Gary, that's the plan

Lars, for most subjects I usually build more than 1 similar model at a time.. I get more disorientated if I just build one.. Guess that's how my brain works

Hey Seb.... luck & an extra set of hands would be great!

These 5 AAVs are sort of a "prequel" to going all out with HobbyBoss' upcoming kits.. I surely like to build as many as the versions I've seen.. Same as I'm doing with the Abrams in my "in-progress" stash..
