This is excellent. Each component is a model in itself and it all works together to tell a story, fantastic. It really feels like every tiny surface on the vehicle was considered. I like the way the colour red draws the eyes from one point to another around the vehicle. And the plastic wrapped water bottles, I often thought that I'd like to try that, will you tell me how you did it? The figures are excellent are they the Alpine Miniatures?
Poor guy that gets to retrieve the MRE from behind the rear wheels. The whole thing looks just like those busy C2's.
You've done it again and I look forward to your next project, congratulations.

This is a fantastic model. I'm amazed as to how you got the gear to look so well placed almost real. Vehicle, figures & paint job is perfect. i have to ask what are the figures.

Looks great overall. Great job on the gear and figures. It all blends together well. Now to the things I see as issues, most are minor and would anly be picked out by someone who is on armored vehicles often.

First, the MRE box under the hull would be a no go. It would get torn up too easily and why do you want your food covered in mud?

Next, the Coke and Red Bull cases; not that many are usually carried. This is something modelers overdo. You may see a case of one type from time to time, but not multiple cases stored on a vehicle. They do add color and interest, but are not realistic.

The bag you have sitting on top of the wooden ammo case on the left side is an M47 Dragon AT missile. The Dragon hasn't been used by the USMC for quite a few years. They use the SMAW instead.

Also, the shrik wrapped water bottles here in Iraq come 12 to a bundle, not 9.

Lastly, the fuel cans you have painted incorrectly. Plastic fuel cans come only in a medium brown color. Plastic water jugs come in sand, black, and less commonly dark green.

Overall a great job, a few tweaks and it could be even better.

Very nice job on the LAV! Very busy and detailed.

I would like to upload this as an On Display Feature if you could send me 15-20 pics, the more the better. With a small write up on the kit (s) used and paint, techniques ect.

Hi Jiri,
I can't comment about accuracy issues but your painting job is awesome. For sure I'd like to see your model in the Features section.

I only one point about the tires that might be more "flatened" due to the weight of all the stuff carried on.

I guess so. Seems like a bad place to store them to me. Guess it works though.

Right color? Wrong place? Dunno. But I do know that it is beautifully done. Some of the best stowage I have seen. What did you use for the straps?

I would have a agree with Gino on this one with the MRE Box, I dont want to have my meal all covered in dirt. I thought would be with those pics that are posted is this. 1. The vehicles are stopped, and not rolling, and in one of them you see a chair on the back, so they have been stopped for sometime if equipment is out. They must be pulling security or something. 2. They are just really lazy, and dont care about their equipment..

Hey there Jiri,

Very nice build!! I have one of these on the go as well, and this will give me some inspiration and ideas as how to finish mine!!

Thanks for the photos of not only the in progress, but the final build. I may have to "borrow" your idea for the fuel rack on the top!

Are they the Alpine figure set? They look great!!

Guys,

thanks a lot for all your comments. I am glad you like the kit and this really pushes me to give even more effort to my next project.

Also Gino thanks for all the issues mentioned. As I stated before I am definately NOT a us military specialist and all the reference I have come from photographs or when asking here on forums. That´s why sometimes issues you mentioned appear.
Concering the MRE boxes, I would never ever make up such place, but after seeing it on almost every picture (thanks Frenchy! ) I decided to copy that.
I am pretty much sure I have seen a pack of 9 waters If I find the picture again I will post it.
The commercial boxes are more like my mark. I am a Coca Cola FREAK!!!
With the AT weapon I really didn´t know, so your comment is more than appreciated.

However even if all the points were my mistake they would be appreciated because this is what makes the progress. Othervise there would be nothing to improve with the next kit ...and who would like the hobby then?!?!?!? Agree???

ATTN: Marc Rocca: all the straps were simply made of office paper. The clips are PE parts from my spare box.

Thanks again to all of you.

Regards

Jiri
