DML has announced that Italeri intends to release four new 1/48 plastic kits: the SdKfz 234/2 Puma armored car, an 8.8cm Flak 36/37 AA gun, an AB-43 Italian armored car, and an Opel Blitz Kfz 385 fuel tank truck, used by both the German army and the Luftwaffe. Great news, and it looks as though Italeri has determined that 1/48 may be worth a major effort.

It's nice to see another company joining in the 1/48 club. I'm looking forward to seeing the Puma, AB43 and 88.

DML hasn't 'announced' anything from Italeri - it ISN'T their area of commercial interest. Rather, what happened was DML's 'in-house' Incredible Blogging Man put THIS in his Blog on DML's MDFC:

IMO, if they ARE being produced, they'll be from the Italian manudacturer, SuperModel' who have also released some of their vehicles under the Tamiya label.

So, it's NOT either officially confirmed, nor any kind of announcement....

I have been looking for the site where I saw them listed. Terry Ashley has just put them up on PMMS, under Italeri (perhaps as single issues with no aircraft kit combos?), and they all have kit numbers: 6601- Sd.Kfz.234/2; 6602 - 8.8CM Flak 37 AA Gun; 6603 - Autoblinda AB 43; 6604 - Kfz.305 Tankwagen. This will be good news, as most of these do fill some gaps.
