I wish I had a specific 1/72 scale kit to show you - I don't, someone else may.
If you check out Rail Road kits, I think HO scale is close to 1/72 ?

Thank you Scott, I found some pigeons and seagulls for $20.00, but once I picked myself up off the floor, for ten of them against the price, I'd rather go without, perhaps if they were perfect then that would reflect the price, but there's nothing special about them, and more then likely, I would end up painting them myself. If, and its that word again 'if' I've managed to find one site, there must be more, and a whole lot cheeper, I have also been told that the HO railway scale is close to my 1-72 scale. Thank you again.

Try a search at Scenic Express> They have some HO (1/87) animals that could possibly pass. I didn't see any birds to match, though.
