Hello. This is the first time I have posted and I hope help is forthcoming.

I am working with 1:76 scale and I wanted to spruce my diorama up so I was looking at railroad accessories (buildings, trees, vehicles, etc.). I am having a problem finding the right size scale railroad items for 1:76 and I was wondering if anyone else has used railroad items for their dioramas.

If so, have you used the 1:76 scale and what would be the railroad conversion (HO, S, etc.)?

Thank you in advance!

HO is 1/87 scale and S is 1/64 scale, in the UK OO is 1/76 scale.

Yes. I looked that up and saw that OO is mostly in the U.K.. However, being in the U.S., that does not really help me too much.

I guess what I am wondering is if anyone has used railroad accessories for 1:76 and if so, what scale (that is common in the U.S.) did they use?

Well, HO is slightly too small and S is too big. Given that trees are all different sizes, you'd get away with either HO or S scale trees. As for the other things you are looking for, I'd go for HO particularly if they are going in the background of a diorama.
