Hi,

I was considering getting the Tamyia Leo 2A6 with some extras, I checked and voyager has this Pro set with Gun barrek, tons of PE and some resin parts.

Did anyone worked with that set ?

Hello John,

welcome to the club.

I want to buy this kit within the next six weeks and I only know one, who has got this kit in his stash but has not built yet.

It is the same person who supported Voyager to perform this kit.

I talk with him from time to time and he is very delighted about what Voyager has created with this set.

His comment matched his extensive review he'd written before about this item.

But maybe anyone who has used Voyager's A5-kit (Richard Saucier aka sauce man) can tell you exactly about the quality of this PE-set as it is nearly the same like the A6.

I only can tell you that I have read and listened enough to buy this kit without any doubts, sorrows.

It is an excellent set....I have one.....it has everything you need to detail a Leopard 2A6.....PE, resin, metal barrel.

The instructions are very detailed and very laid out. Very good diagrams.

The key with a set of this magnitude is that you don't just slap it on the kit.....you have to be prepared to removed the kit details that are moulded on in order to replace them with PE parts....it takes patience, time, skill, and effort.

Thanks Marco and Jason.
That's my problem Jason, I'm not sure if I can accomplish all the required changes...
I have tons of patience but not so sure about the skills.

I have it in my stash, too. Additional the Lion Roar PE.

Voyager's Pro set seems to be quite the best Leopard 2A6 update set, but some parts are labeled wrong in the instructions. Nothing too difficult to deal with, but be aware once you start building it.

Actually I have got all the 3 sets available in the market, the Voyager one, Lionroar one and the latest Eduard one. I can say that Voyager one is of top quality with excellent detail. If you ask me which one I would suggest, definitely it goes to the Voyager pro set.

BTW I have also got the A5 set from Voyager too, except the extra items like the barrel, the resin discharger stands and the metal dischargers, the PEs are identical. Be honest, the resin side armor, the discharger may not be necessary n the Tamiya original barrel is quite good enough that if you find you wish to have something cheaper, this should be your choice too.
