Hey guys, just wondering if ya'll could help me out or not. I'm going to be making a 300 spartans type diorama, and I thought I remembered seeing a diorama with spartans in it recently on some hobby site. The more I think of it, the more it is bugging me, cause I can't remember where. I'm beginning to think perhaps I dreamed the whole thing up? If anyone has any links to anything like this, I'd appreciate it.

Matt S is correct of course, that the right place to ask the question would be over on HF
But here's one you may be thinking of:
http://www.planetfigure.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28430&highlight=Battle+Thermopylae
A member over on HF did a vignette of 3 Spartans at the battle as well, but I can't seem to find the post at the moment.

thanks for the links guys, but that's not the one I was thinking of.....the one I'm remembering had several figures and was actually a battle scene. I'll do some more looking, but I appreciate the help in the meantime.

Hi Matthew,
I was thinking of buying some Spartan figures myself. I need a break from the the olive drab & field grey syndrome. Anyhow here is an Andrea 54mm set that I am interested in myself, maybe it' might be the one you seek ????

Matthew -
Here's something you might be interested in checking out. A US Company called "Conte Collectibles" has a range of 'plastic, posable' Spartans that are outstandingly done. I've got several sets myself and though I haven't tried priming and painting them, they do make a terrific diorama as they are and very much cheaper then going the 'metal' route especially if you're working on a 'Phalanx' size piece. These figures are not true 'toy' soldiers, but priced more that way. Enjoy the look see anyway you go,

Actually, I have already purchased a package of the conte spartans. They are indeed some nice figures, especially for the price. I think I may have to do a little gap filling, since the joints and such are movable. One figure in particular has a head that doesn't fit quite right. I purchased the Set #2, I believe. It's the one in which two of the figures have arrows embedded in the shields.
I haven't quite decided what I will do with them yet...whether I will use them all in one scene, or divide them up, or what.
Anyway, I never did find the diorama I thought I had seen. I'm seriously beginning to wonder if I dreamed up the whole thing
