There have been several aftermarket wheels sets for the LAV, but it seems that only 3 are still available (correct me if I'm wrong...) : Accurate Armour, AEF and MR models, so what would be the best pick (presuming that any of them would cost almost as much as the Italeri kit )
Any good (= any with IN STOCK items ) online source for it would be also welcome...
TIA

The world's absolute best LAV wheels are produced by JP Morgan of Maple Leaf Models. He makes both the narrow tire and the wide version in use by Canada and Australia. These are pressure cast with no mould lines or bubbles. Check out his website at :

Thanks for link Paul. I knew about the quality of MapleLeaf products but I didn't know that they have issued a set for USMC LAVs. By the way, do you know if their modern plastic cans sets are usable with US troops and vehicles ?

We have had a plastic jerry can in service for about 15 years now with 'CA' on them denotng Canada. That's what JP is selling. Thus, they probably would not be suitable for a USMC vehicle.

Thanks Paul I will look for US modern cans elsewhere (these fuel cans were so convincing ... ...)
