Sarge, both the Cromwell and the Centaur are great kits. having built the the Centaur my self I'd recommend them to anyone wanting on of the cruisers from Britain. the only thing I worried about were the tracks, but they snugged down to the road wheels with a drop of superglue. The only thing I would different is to add some AM tracks from fruilmodel, and maybe order a set of deep wading trunks from Accurate Armour or Aber. All in all they are good kits straight from the box. stug

ive built both kits and they are both superb, and i think the tracks are about the best ive seen in vinyl, i recommend you give at least one a go, and as stug says there are some great aftermarket kits for them, the deep wading kits by accurate armour look cool!

Yep - the Cromwell and Centaur are among the best 'out-of-the-box' kits I've ever seen. Done both and did not need any additional parts, also AAs Charioteer conversion.

sarge, as a coincidence, i am in the final stages of the centaur iv, something I would reccomend is to take a look at the feature/article in Anzacsteel by Brett Green. It is a very interesting and complete article on improving the basic kit, without resource to a ton of pe.
One thing to remember about the Centaur iv is that they were only in Normandy for around 4 weeks, so there will be weathering but more restrained than normal.... Jim
