Well these kits are great but with all items mold in one block your stryker can looks similar to one of your neighbor on the contest table.
My two cents

Hello,
it is not only that what Sebastian mentioned (I agree with) it is that the parts are difficult to paint.
It would have been much better to cast the parts separately.
IMO this kind of molding is not only state of the art I really hope that it does not become en vogue.
Therefore the rating of 95% is a little bit to high, nonetheless I think it is a helpful review as Rob showcased the kit very clearly and extensively enough that I could form my own view on it.
Thanks Rob.

I have to agree. I don't like the molded in gear either.

Given the slight scale differences between the Trumpeter & AFV kits I suspect these will not fit both. But they do look nice & crisp.

Thanks for the feedback guys! And thanks for publishing my review James
I rated the kit so highly because most other companies who have released Stryker stowage sets have simply rehashed old gear-Legends just boxed up a load of ALICE gear and generic packs from their previous modern stowage sets(granted they added some nice MRE's) and simply stuck a Stryker label on it. I thought Blast deserved to be commended for their originality and producing something new and different.
I agree that molding it all together can be difficult to paint, however I feel that this way looks more natural, stiff resin packs never look quite right when they are just placed in piles as they don't get the natural look of loose fabric, I feel, particularly in the case of the stowage racks, all the gear molded in achieves greater realism than if you tried to fill the kit stowage racks with gear.
Seb-I do kind of agree with you, although you can mix and match and add bits of stowage, and use different pieces on different builds...

The only issue I have is the cargo net around the spare wheel. The net conforms around the wheel like saranwrap when in fact the straps should splay out to connect to grab handles/footman loops. There is nothing underneath the wheel on the winch cover for the straps to connect to. Also, it appears the cargo net is flat like the one provided in the Legend set. In reality, it has many clips and clasps to allow it to expand. One of the Eduard PE sets provides a very detailed cargo net - but some work to assemble.

Rob
I am totally agree with you on the Legend sets, Stryker, Bradley and Abrams are exactly the same and even worst they come with Alice packs.
I am honest with you I want to buy both kist from blast but I do not share your point of tosing separate resins parts that not look realistic.
I want to have an unique Stryker so I want to design my own stowage (see for example my M1078 SF trucks stowage).
BTW the side racks can be easily done with milliputty or other type epoxy sculting past so I do beleive that paying 15 euros for the side racks is too much.
Kit for roof top display nice items but you can DIY.
So the ranking is to high in respect of lack of freedom and originality.
A good conclusion of the review should have been like that:
'I do beleive that the majority of the modeller can reproduce tarp and bags with milliputty and put on the roof top. The lazy ones will buy those kits."
Thanks for you effort of writing this review
Cheers
