I must say.............this forum and all your amazing threads have inspired me to get back into models. I had a bunch under my bed that were collecting dust so I decided to break out the boxes and buy some new glue and paint. And of course some foliage to make a small diorama. So thanks for getting me back in the hobby first of all. And second of all I have a couple questions that I would like to have answered.

1. I just came into possession of an old airbrush. It was used for a long time ago for painting fishing jigs, This is ok to use right? It needs to be hooked up to an air compressor which I thought was weird. And do you have to buy specific paint for the gun?

2. I am building a diorama right now and how do you make the really cool buildings, hills and rubble?

I will be sure to post pictures of my crappy diorama when I am done.

Thanks

Welcome to KitMaker I'm sure you'll find it a great place.

As far as the airbrush questions go, air compressors are commonly used. Other options are compresses air cans (they get expensive over time). Any airbrush that can spary small scale things like fishing jigs is fine, so it sounds like it will be great. I personally like using arylic paints in my airbrush they are easy to mix and clean up easily. I've heard that some guys will spray enamels, just don't let this kind sit and definitely clean up well.

As far as buildings go, I'd direct you to the Armorama site and look through the features section. There are lots of features on how to build buildings, foliage etc. The question is quite broad and hard to answer without some more specifics. Feel free to ask, you'll get answers. Try to figure out if you want urban building, country farm houses, palm trees or hedgerows - things like that.
