Dang good question! While the refs I have don't show the gun I suspect that it was the M2 gun as it should show up at least of the muzzle on the photo of the crew if it was the M3 Gun.
So not an Answer but only a guess. Good Luck and hope you fine the right answer.

I found this quite by accident;
http://www.wwiivehicles.com/unitedkingdom/foreign/m3-medium-photos.asp " TARGET="_blank"> http://www.wwiivehicles.com/unitedkingdom/foreign/m3-medium-photos.asp
Of course, it's in a museum, so I am not sure how authentic it is.

Thanks Bret and Jeff.
That picture I think is bogus as the Lee and Grant book from Squadron says the Lettering should be white and the rest Yellow.
So I do not think I can go with it.
Will keep looking.
Also I never did see the end counter weight in the only Pic of have of it.
Dang Bogus Museums.

The restored Lee masquerading as "Kentucky" was at Ft. Knox. It is not the actual Kentucky, and the signs that were displayed with it even said as much.

"Kentucky" was armed with the longer M3 barrel as seen in the Squadron book on the Lee/Grant.

I have the book but can not tell if it is a longer barrel thanks for the answer Chris.
As I know only that one picture it did look kind of long.
Thanks a long barrel it will be.
