Hey there DevilDog!!! That is some awesome work that you are doing and quite an ambitious project. I wish you the best. I have to agree with you on working with photoetch. That stuff is just a big pain.I am working on a Dragon Isralie Super Sherman "Premium Editon". What was I thinking!!! You have to ask yourself, how much photoetch is to much? Keep us posted, I like what I see

Really nice work mate!
The figure that hit his head is spot on, I can feel the pain now. OUCH!

Thanks for the encouragement guys.
Mike, I appreciate your comments, this place has been great for supporting my idea. The PE stuff is ungodly delicate and sometimes the payoff is fantastic, but sometimes its not. I guess its just a matter of deciding what looks best.
Martyn thanks, lemme guess... you're all out of watermelon.

Chris, your memory revived one of mine. Unfortunatly I was the victim. I worked on the KC-130 when I was in the Marines, if you did not duck low enough when going in or out of the crew hatch you smacked your head, and brother it hurts, especially when it is right on top of the noggin. Brings you to your knees and tears to the eyes.

Hey I know exactly what you're talking about, I'm a pro at bashing my head on things. YOu would think the Kevlar helmet might protect you, but much like a jock strap cup, it just distributes the pain evenly. The urban assault course and me were not friends.

Alright, I finally got my Trumpeter LAV-25 kit. I also got some hornet heads, some verlinden heads, magic sculpt, and I'm waiting for the PE set, wheels, and barrel for the LAV. I will post some pics tomorrow, my camera is currently being used by my gf to display pictures from our weekend Vegas trip.
Anyone know of a place offhand that has some good LAV ref pics? I've seen the ones on the Marine Corps site, but I can't seem to find good close ups.
Try this link, there are some excellent reference photos of vehicles.
