I just had an interesting thing happen on the way to finishing a piece of log for a diorama. I had washed the log with a dark brown wash to give it that sitting in a swamp look when it dryed like rust. O.K., another wash to fix that and, more rust color! Well, maybe a black wash. That pretty much fixed the problem but, I wondered, I just washed a log to look like a log. A little too much I reasoned.

Right !! That's what we do - we make nature look like .... umm well.... yea - nature.

I admit I have the same problem, I'm in a 12 step program

scott, I did it again. Now I put bark on it to make it a real rotten tree. I think I might join your 12 stepper myself.
