Chris,
I can't see too much detail of the figures - though from what I can see they look very good.
But your groundwork & vegetation are excellent. Did you use natural items? Share your secrets with us!

Your diorama looks rather good actually
The camo looks superb, the only thing is pick out the detail in the faces and on some other features etc...
some more closer photos would be nice

sure...I was confused when painting that figures, it's old DML kit, and lack of detail.
and I just didn't know how to paint tiger stripe camo.
I used mix of sintetic and natural items for groundwork.
I used woodland scenics amd busch products, for small tree on the left corner of photos
for groundwork i used grass root, and some stuff from kitchen.
vegetation on the right side, I used wild grass, and rattan

The darker shading is perfect for this dio. I think because of the weather and the high tree canopy, Vietnam stuff comes out looking much better with dark shading.
Great job!

Hi Chris - very nice. It may add some interest if you turned the last man so that he was guarding the rear. It would add an element of suspense and pull the eye back into the piece.....Just a thought. Great foliage, thats as real as it gets!!

thanks for all comments
you're right that's very good idea.
When I built this I also thought that last figure in strange position because he looks to vegetation in the left side, but I didn't find a solution. thank you

As a figure guy, I want to start working on displaying them in a more interesting manner than simply on a wooden base. I love your groundwork. The vegetation is absolutely convincing.

Hi Chris, this looks great.
I am interested to know how you used rattan to make vegetation.
I don't like the red and blue pieces in bush on the left, can these be removed? The rest of the vegetation looks spot on for tropical scrubland.
I am impressed by the vine/creeper clump in the back right side, it looks like it is growing over a wall or some sort of abandoned temple.
Fantastic work mate.

I used rattan only for vegetation which look like hay. I just painted it and drop a little white glue on base and attached the rattan, then left it to dry
My friend also told me that the red and blue pieces in a bush looks strange, it look like chilli tree
anyway thanks for your input, I wish I could do better next project
