The only remark I can make is...excellent.
Especially the faces, really well done, although so is the uniforms etc. I think the composition is also very good and shows that despite resin figures have excellent fine detail given skill and talent out of the box plastic figures can still be made to look really good.
I think the set is one of DML's better offerings that often gets overlooked. I'm sure it won't once people see this.
I know I've wanted the set for some time. I will get it eventually but doubt if I'll do them to the standard you have.
Well done
Alan

Chris,
I don't think you really need any advice. You seem to have it nailed.
The faces are superb, the camo is top-notch, and once again your groundwork and vegetation are excellent.
The only thing I'd say (and this is just a personal opinion) is that the frame you've set the whole thing in is perhaps a bit too big - the dio seems to be "floating" on it in that first photo.
But that in no way detracts from the excellence of your work.

You’re kidding right?
Excellent, nice and straight to the point, excellent painting and everything looks like it all goes together, great use of the base and great veggies. Not counting the fact that I wish I could paint my figures half as good as this.
Congrats, Well done
Bob

Chris, you want some advice? Okay, here's mine. The next time you come here with a stunning, beautiful piece of work like this, make it a feature build, so you can teach the rest of us struggling dio/vignette builders how to do it right
That is one awesome dio, my friend.
Cheers,
Mike

I think the Vignette looks awesome and the paintjob on the figures is superb well done i too have these figs in my stash but i'm a little put off about starting them due to the complexity of the build and because of all the small P.E. involved but i suppose when my skills improve i'll think about tackling them and hopefully do as good a job as yourself

Hi Chris ... the only thing Id suggest is some thin balsa or plastic sheet to tidy up the sides/elevation. Other than that ... I love it. Great camo, skin colours and composition. Groundwork is quite realistic also. Strong in every way. Nice one.

Chris
Excellent work - wish I could do half as good. The only comment I would make is that my eye was drawn to the box in the corner, which appears empty, and made me wonder as to its purpose. I can't tell if it's a Pak 43 ammunition box or a panzerfaust box, but if it's a panzerfaust box, having one panzerfaust in the box and one in the hands of the running figure woud round out the story somewhat. One could assume that the three figures behind the vegetation have just seen a Sherman, and the fourth figure has been asked to bring up a panzerfaust to deal with the problem.
Just my 10 cents worth - would love to see more little dios/vignettes of this quality.

Wow Chris! Those are stock DML figures huh? You did a great job with them!
I agree with what Frank said, next time add something to cover the rough edges where the ground work ends. And really that is kind of nit-picky because from what I see you, I can't find any thing to really criticize!
Great Job!
Bill.

I used tamiya acrylic for basecoat, for uniform and figure skin I used oil paint
I painted belt, boots and accessories with enamel and vallejo.

Here's what I like about your figures. They don't look like painted plastic. They look like real people. Exceptional job.
