I was just wondering how bad Heller kits really are in 1:72 scale, specifically their Tiger 1 kits.
I havent been able to find much in the way of reviews on the net, so I'm guessing that they are horrible. However, if anyone believes otherwise, feel free to prove me wrong

AFAIK, several of Heller "1/72nd" scale kits are in fact re-boxed old Airfix 1/76th scale stuff (Sherman, Churchill...and Tiger )

Some of their own kits are not bad. The newer DUKW and Jeep are good (produced in cooperation with Airfix). Their original AMX-30, Souma, VAB all are decent. The tracks on the older kits are virtually usueless though.Oh, gawd, that bad? I'm going to avoid them like the plague now

My first miniature kit last August was a Tiger I by Heller built on holiday. It came with glue but no way to apply it and the paint was pretty bad. The kit's proportions did not seem accurate, but I still enjoyed building it. Now I just look at it and laugh. Stick with Dragon or Tamiya or Trumpeter or anyone else but don't buy one for a serious build.
