Looks good from where I'm sitting, Terry.
I've got my eye on one of these for the stash.
Are those the kit-supplied "rubber band" tracks? If so you've done a nice job on them.

Thanks Steve,
Yes they are the kit track. They went together ok, but if I do another one I want to use the workable kind.

One of the serious problems in planning against Canadian doctrine is that the Canadians do not read their manuals, nor do they feel any obligations to follow their doctrine.

Some nice all around shots and closeups as well, just try not to get the same angle more than once.

Hey Gary,
Yep I fixed the battle damage after AMPS. Isn't there a dust cover that had the coax uncovered I can't remember and I'm not sure if the IDF used it or not.

Well it seems to be repaired since AMPS, or where these taken prior to that? The only problem I see is the dust cover on the gun mantlet. The coax area should be covered by it.

Is that the one??? Nice model, I had heard that the was a Sho't Kal that got damaged...
Concur with Gary about the mantlet. You have an Aussie style mantlet on it while the Israelis used a fully covered version. I also like the black barrel on the main gun. Which unit used that marking??

John,
The unit is the 7th Brigade at Golan Heights 1967. Or at least that's what the kit instructions say.

I agree with Gery about the mantlet cover.
In addition too many sleeping bags on the turret, never saw 3 in row on one side. There is several other small things but in general nice build. I am happy to see my work in reality.

Robert,
There's nothing like first hand information to get it right. I am going to start a M51 soon so any details you could tell me about I would be grateful for.
Thanks
Terry

I like it very much. Are the mesh panels at the turret rear PE parts coming in the kit ?

Thanks Rick,
The base coat is Tamyia Kaki and then I panel shaded by adding a few drops of Tamyia Dark Yellow. I did some oil washes (Mars Black & Burnt Sennia) added some pigments (Pastel Chalk power suspended in Alcohol). Then drybrushed with silver and White.

I am glad you like it Olivier!! The mesh is plastic that is supplied in the kit. Patterns are provided to get the correct shapes.

From those picsGary,it looks like you could use fly screen mesh or dollar store sieve material. Does the On The Mark set have all the framing?
FWIW I like the kit pattern even if it's wrong.Really hard to find diamond mesh 'in the wild'..
