I'm getting a DML M1a1 AIM kit and I'm gonna make it a marine version from around the beginning of the war. I need a simple beginer dio idea but something more than just a base. I know it's vague but I need some input.

How about a flat desert landscape (which is never truly flat) or an Iraqi roadway section?

Just do a Google image search for "USMC M1A1".....there are tons of great images showing USMC Abrams in urban settings in Iraq.....you can always adapt an image to what you want.

Half the fun of making a diorama is researching it and planning it....embrace that and do some digging around.
