This is the Mirage kit with slight alterations to the rear plate and few small added items otherwise OOB, it wasnt the easiest of kits but it was something fun and different, it was painted in Tamiya acrylics and weathered with oils and finished with a touch of pigments.
Thanks for looking and any comments are welcome.
Ron.

Wow Ron!
This a really nice - you've done a great job! I don't know much about the subject, but it looks really interesting to me. But best of all you had fun! Well done mate!

That looks awsome Ron. I like how you weathered it and are you going to put it in a dio?

I like your choice of green. Looks right. Also the weathering seems to have that "knocked about" look down pat. Very nice!

Outstanding work!
I like the way you weathered your model, especially rust patches.
Maybe you'll try also TKS tankiette from Mirage?

Damn Ron, that turned out great.
That's certainly an under-statement.
I agree, sounds like a challenge....

Wow im a bit taken back with the great response on this one thank you all
Rudi, thanks mate i am enjoying your M8 build keep her coming.
Hi Kevin, normally i dont build dio's because of room to display them and i have so many models yet to build heh but i am thinking i will put this one on a small base and still have a couple of small things to do on it im just putting it up for now to get another build going while im in the mood.
Thanks Terry, i was happy with the green ithink it weathered down nicely but maybe more luck than anything else
Hi Rick, i may be putting this on a base so i will hold off for a week or two until i fully decide then either way i go i will get some pics sent your way, thanks .
Thanks Marcin i have seen the TKS tankiette kits often and can say i will most probably at some time build them, what can i say i just cant help myself i like building these less than perfect kits its always more satisfying to complete one i think.
Thanks James i have this pic of the interior from the build log,
Hi JIm the grills are just the plastic molded ones in the kit painted up to look better than they are heh thanks for the comments.
Thanks Dave i would definatly take the challenge but first i need a straight forward italeti or Tamiya kit or two to fall together for me lol
Thanks E. Bowman there was more masking of windows on this than a wingie thingie lol but i too like the grubby look when they were done so it was worth it.
Thanks again all.
Ron.

A fantastic job.
It proves that a skilled modeller can make an outstanding job such as this from a kit that isn't the latest Dragon Trumpeter etc...
I have kits like these in the stash and this is motivational, just need the skill....
