AFV Club have just sent us images of many of the items which we can expect to see during 2009. As far as I know, AFV Club won''t be present at this year''s Nuremberg Trade Fair, but will certainly be represented. This then, is effectively the company''s Show Releases. Two scales (1/48th & 1/35th) are represented along with a variety of time periods and nationalities. The full report can be seen:

T-34 with FULL interior? Can we get an engine compartment with that?
For all the dio possibilities, I never understand why engines aren't more popular than driver compartments and other things you never really see unless the kit comes apart.

The British tank riders could be useful, except that - yet again - we see Brit figures sculpted with goofy faces.
So many British figures seem to either have goofy expressions, or are holding mugs of tea. Or both.
Why do they do that?

I don't understand why AFV Club is going to release T-34. The market already has many T-34, Dragon has already released a dozen. Why AFV Club not to release M42 it has been announced long before?

Exactly my thoughts. He's not going to get much of a grouping if he tries firing the Bren from that position.
Nice set though and hopefully the first of many.

Hi Pat,
Yes, no hits there He also doesn't quite fit with the relexed looking bunch behind him; they are probably all having a good laugh at his expense
They look pretty good figures though.

Thanks Jim,
I don't know, they look stern, focused and aren't Brad Pitt but not that bad !!
The Bren gunner looks like he would be better placed on a flat surface or actually on the ground.
He's kinda floating with his elbows and feet not in contact with the tank's fender.
Anyway, it's a nice resin set but I just wish that more British/Commonwealth sets like this were done in plastic.
Cheers

One or two things of interest to me such as the Churchill but let's have some World War 1 tanks AFV Club! Whilst there's many subjects I like from World War 2.....World War 1's been sadly neglected.

I am absolutely static that they will be releasing the Ausf C version of the 251/3. Man, it looks super cool! I've got to get me one of those when it comes out to complete my collection of AFV Club 251s. Good news today!!!
Yes, definitely agreed! We need to see more WWI stuff AFV!
Thanks for sharing!

The Marder (modern) tracks are a good addition - now how about some current Wiesel tracks? Plastic, rubber, L and L, whatever!

Marder tracks are curious... I am guessing for the Revell kit and not the Tamiya one.
Still no 40mm Bofors to add to my pile that I will never build.

What really caught my eye was the T-34 boxart, which shows Polish markings. Hmmm.
Not that I need another T-34 in the stash, mind you.

The T-34 isn't really a new item for Nurnberg, it's been on PMMS for ages.

For those that can't wait, the HobbyBoss 1/48 T34 series is pretty sweet - and cheap. I paid 20$, and got a full interior and 1/35 scale detail. If you can overlook the odd fit issues and the crummy tracks it's more than worth it, if you want a T34 with a full interior.

Any new set of British figures is welcome even if the bren gunner (as mentioned above) doesn't quite seem to go with the other three.
A welcome release none the less.
