Excellent work, Melnikov! I really like the subtle weathering. Could you describe your process?

The only problem I noticed is at the back of the left side track in the fourth picture. It seems like it is too loose. Given that that changes through the pictures, though, I assume that it is just a feature of the Tamiya tracks.

This would make a great On Display feature, since your pictures are very good as well.

Samuel, thank you!
I used workable tracks from Miniarm, so I can easily tighten it:-)

For painting I used russina authentic paints called AKAN (on DUPONT base). As basic colour I took sand, and added some sand basic colour into green and black. This trick helped to lighten camo. Also I used finish varnish by AKAN: it lightens colours a bit.

Very nice build!

Could you send me some 15-20 pics and a small write up on the build for an On Display Feature?

Really nice build and paint work too.
It's a pity that the T-90 is not available in plastic. I think it deserves to be.
I'm a bit surprised by the "notch" on top of the gun muzzle. Never seen such one on a real beast.
Thanks for sharing.

A build that is trully worth others' praise. I wish AKAN line custom match paints were available to us Westerners.

Thank you ffor comments.
Oliver, this notch was made for barrel curvature gauge. Thats why barrel a bit turned and adges is not on top of the barrel.

I think you can try with this inet shop:

www.plasticmodel.ru

they have full range of AKAn and work very well even with ex-ussr countries.

Excellent work! If might ask, where did you get the correct exhaust for the kit? My T-90 has the Tamiya exhaust not the correct "Anteater" style. I thought about making my own, but I'm a bit intimidated by sctratchbuilding.

Great match on the paint colors. Please give us some more detail on what you used for the conversion (kit and aftermarket).

Super job!!

I've scratched it from styrene. Here is a picture without some details.
I've made a few copies of exhaust for next builds (T-90 with cast turret) in resin

Simply amazing work you've done Anton! I like it very much. Great build and camo job, your weathering came out looking fantastic. Don't know too much about the subject, but you've got yourself a great model there.

Thanks for sharing! Cheers -

A very nice build and paint job. I like it alot. I am not an expert, so I have a question on the barrel. I assume that what you had referenced earlier is that a muzzle reference sensor similar to the one on the M1 series tanks is placed on the top of the end of the barrel. I could understand that the thermal shroud covering the barrel can be removed and reinstalled in a different position than the last time it was installed. So would the fins on top of the shroud not always be aligned down the center of the gun tube? And would the spot for the MRS not always be horizontal to the ground? Just a question not relating to the fine work you have done.
