Paratroopers carried pretty much all they had onto the planes with them. Pathfinders would have had ID panels, beacons (light and radio) for marking drop zones. Others would have been armed with typical infantry weapons. Paratroopers did have Hawkins mines and Gammon Grenades. Many who jumped with leg-bags full of gear found that the shock of jumping caused them to lose their leg-bags. As a result, some special gear was lost and other methods of accomplishing the goals were found. Interestingly, much of the success of the airborne units during the beginning days of Operation Overlord was due to the improvisation of the troops who actually made it to the ground alive. Entire sticks were lost to flak and drowning.
