I would like to try to make water effect using "natural glue", those animal based. Once set and cured they have a jelly like appearance.

Do you know if that's possible or been done before ?

I use rabbit skin glue size in non modelling projects. I think the problem with it in your plan is that unlike resin it is not a permanent inert substance but is subject to environmental change. If kept in damp conditions it could develop mould.

Hi Pat,
you are right it's perishable, but I read something about an anti mould substance used by the wood workers as preservative it is called NIPAGINA here in Italy.
Chemically it is METIL-PARAIDROSSI-BENZOATO.
