It wasn't easy, but here's a scan (from the back of DML's 2009 Catalogue) of:

Nice looking artwork at least, but I can't help but get the feeling we're being slightly short changed here...

One Gurkha and one Sikh?

If there were new set of Germans coming out for Cassino, we'd have Fallschirmjager Mortar crews, FJ MG crews, FJs resting, FJs fighting, FJ officers pointing at things, and so forth.

Okay, so call me the first to complain, but it's NOT a complaint really, more an observation.
I realise Dragon are probably only testing the water as it were, but I'd like to see separate sets of Gurkhas and Sikhs (and not all Indian Army troops were Sikhs either)

That said, I can't wait for 'em to hit the shelves at the LHS - look, Mk 3 Lee Enfields...

Nice-looking set.

The Gurkha and the Indian infantryman are especially interesting, but I'm sure Allied modellers would be even happier to see dedicated Gukha and Indian sets.

Maybe if this set sells well (as I expect it will), these may be forthcoming in the future.

Nice move by Dragon including the Indian and Nepalese figures (obviously, build options are not limited to Cassino). This will increase the kit's popularity for sure.

Thanks for the scan.

I agree, it would be great to see dedicated kits one day.

I'm with you on this but if DML were clever they would do this at the gen 2 pricemark and offer four Sikh heads, 4 Ghurka heads and 4 Anglo saxon heads. As this isn't a set of germans i don't thinkl it will happen but to be fair to DMl they have done mixed up Axis sets too.

I really welcome these guys for the poses. Much better than the lounging types we normally get although the Bri sets have been good.

It appears that the allied releases must have been popular as they are still doing them, I can't wait to see what Miniarts new sets look like
Cheers

Hmmm, nice to see more Allied troops represented, but I think I'll reserve my excitement until I actually see the masters/CAD drawings being produced. DML have a habit of leaving items in the catalogue for years before it's produced, if at all. I doubt we'll get these as Gen2 though

Of course there are quite a few companies, albeit resin companies, heading into the Italian theatre at the moment. 2009 should be interesting.

Well done to DML for at least entertaining the subject. (I mean that in a nice way)

Hi all,
As a ex soldier and a Living historian (WW2) I'm over the moon to see the gurkhas been represented.(they have the most VCs of any Brit unit).

They have a great history and I've heard some great stories about them at Monte cassino.

Got to agree with Albowie - Dragon ought to release these like their Premium range with 4 heads of each racial type. I'd end up getting 3 sets. As it is, it feels like neither fish nor fowl.
Still, that leaves room for Hornet to give us what we want.
A nice set anyway.

DML have done a nice set here.

One thing I do like is they are venturing into action ,action ,action scenes .
Other than standing ,sitting or pointing sets .

This is good creativity for the modeller .

Thanks

Sweet news guys !!!
No complaints here but a few spare heads for some Gurkha and Sikh infantryman would definitely be a plus !!!
